Cheers! Salut! Enjoy! A California CBD dream is finally coming true. Well-known Chef Chris Sayegh, the owner of The Herbal Chef , has been cooking CBD infused cuisine for the last decade throughout Southern California. The Herbal Chef is a culinary platform incorporating plant medicine into Avant-Garde Cuisine, private in-home dining, meal prep and consulting services. The Herbal Chef “creates intriguing and delectable food first and infuses it with cannabis second” and now Chef Sayegh is opening a restaurant/bar in Santa Monica, California in 2022. Nostalgia will be located at 1326 Pico Blvd and open for customers daily from noon to two am. Nostalgia will start out as a bar and then transition into a full restaurant in 2022 with a 3,000 square foot interior and 3,000 square foot patio.
Chef Chris Sayegh will be focused on keeping the theme of nostalgia. Nostalgia is defined as a sentimental longing or wistful affection for the past, typically for a period or place with happy personal associations. The bar menu will consist of CBD infused alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages alongside food items that take you back in time from the 1970s to 2000s. CBD infused drinks are now legal again since the Assembly Bill 45 passed in October for California. As soon as the full restaurant opens, a seasonal menu will include drinks such as boozy Otter Pops and Capri Suns ( takes you back to your childhood) and delicious lobster rolls topped with caviar and branzino fish and chips. Sadly, none of the food menu will be infused with CBD. However, Chef Sayegh will hold private dinners for $295 each for diners who would like to indulge. $295 well worth it.
The arrival of Nostalgia not only gives Chef Sayegh a permanent home in Santa Monica, California, but it also reopens the discussion of cannabis consumption lounges across greater Los Angeles ( LA Eater). Also coming in 2022, Chef Sayegh plans to publish his first cookbook and release an edibles line that will be available at dispensaries. We are hoping to one day visit Nostalgia and would love to hear from you if you visit.
