Mike Tyson’s ear-shaped gummies
A little funny cannabis news coming at you to start your Tuesday morning.
Well, it’s official! Mike Tyson’s cannabis company “Tyson 2.0” just launched ear-shaped gummies. This launch comes at the 25 year anniversary of when Tyson was actually disqaulified from the World Boxing Association Heavyweight Championship for biting his opponent’s ear. This famous boxing match against Evander Holyfield was then named ” The Bite Fite”.
These new gummies are called, “Mike Bites” and are shaped like a human ear….but are missing a chunk right at the top of the ear where the cartilage would be. Ha! Very funny marketing strategy, Mike Tyson. Apparently, this idea for ear-shaped gummies has been in the works since 2019. In an episode of the podcast “Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson,” Tyson pitched an ear-shaped gummy to Holyfield.
Tyson 2.0 announced the launch Tuesday, March 16th morning on Twitter with the caption “Holy Ears! They’re finally here. Go get your Mike Bites Now”. Mike Tyson himself replied to the tweet by saying “These ears actually taste good”. I mean, I guess if anyone was to determine if they tasted better than human ears, it would be him right? I sure hope they do taste better!
For now, these gummies will be sold at dispensaries in California, Nevada and Massachussets. Representatives have not yet responded to the request to comment on exactly where these gummies will be sold, how much they will cost, the dosage, etc. Hopefully they will release the information soon. I’m curious just to see what the hype is all about.
On the company website, Tyson mentions how “Cannabis has always played an important role in my life. Cannabis has changed me for the good both mentally and physically, and I want to share that gift with others who are also seeking relief”. Tyson 2.0 is known for “undisputed cannabis” and their own strains.
